New directions...

When I was a little girl, I dreamed of living on a farm. Then, when I was a bit older, I dreamed of becoming a jeweller. So I signed up for my first course and it was true love. Though both dreams got shelved for some time, now, years later, they've both come true - how lucky is that???

After picking up jewelry where I left off, I started Le Chien Noir Jewelry in 2011 and haven't looked back. AND I now live on a pretty little farm in Quebec, near the U.S. border. My jewelry all happens in my basement studio, where I can spread out and the hammering doesn't bother the chickens.

On a constant quest to streamline and simplify life, my design aesthetic also tends towards the minimalist, which I feel best showcases the gorgeous gemstones I use. The days are never long enough and every project is an inspiring experience. Working with precious metals and gemstones is a tactile process like none other. And the abundance of wonderful stones available is endlessly inspiring, as is the nature that surrounds me. One of the things I love most though is the possibility and pleasure of connecting with Etsians and customers from around the globe. All very exciting!
