This is a pretty, triangular Indian Paint Stone. Indian Paint Stone (aka Death Valley Paint, or Navajo Blanket Stone) comes from the Death Valley area of California, where collecting is no longer possible. This makes it something of a rarity.
I made this beauty into a striking sterling silver statement necklace that you'll love wearing. It is a lovely dusty rose with dark brown patterning, perfect for fall! SETTING: The stone has a sterling and fine silver bezel setting with a round sterling bail. The pendant hangs from a nice sterling rolo chain and closes with a lobster clasp.
SIZE: The stone is 35mm x 34mm (1 3/8" x 1 3/8") and the setting adds a few more millimetres to that all around. The chain is 18" long.
FINISH: The silver has a faint oxidized patina which is so pretty with this stone.
