Fordite Ring Size 7
Regular price
$170.00
This unisex sterling silver ring features a wonderful rectangular Fordite cabochon. Fordite is cut from built-up layers of dried paint used in painting cars in factories. This one is upcycled from old paint used at the Corvette plant in Bowling Green, KY. The swirling patterns of black, red, yellow and silver are fantastic and the silver paint has a bit of metallic sheen. There's even what looks like an eye of concentric ovals. Truly unique!
It has a fine silver and sterling bezel setting with a bit of a simple border and the wide band has a hammered texture.
SIZE: The stone is about 20mm x 14mm (3/4" x 1/2") and the setting's border adds a little bit more all around. The band is 10mm (3/8") wide and is size 7, but fits more like a 6.5 because of the wider band.
FINISH: I oxidized the silver to bring out the detail and for a little boho feel.
