Leland Blue Pendant
This is a gorgeous piece of polished Leland Blue that I made into a minimalist pendant. Leland Blue is a great recycled material from northern Michigan. It is actually glass slag from smelting iron ore that was dumped into lake Michigan in the late 1800s. How cool is that?! This one is marquise shaped and is a beautiful, deep robin's egg blue with several tiny air bubbles. Make it a wonderful, unique gift or treat yourself!
SETTING: I gave it a simple fine silver and sterling bezel setting. It has a soldered on sterling bail with some added swirls on the back and hangs on a steel cable that's a little longer than a choker. The cable closes with a sturdy screw clasp.
SIZE: This Leland blue is 60mm x 22mm (2 3/8" x 7/8") and the pendant is a few millimetres more all around. The cable is about 18" long.
FINISH: The silver has an oxidized patina.
I am currently offering free shipping to the US and Canada! This necklace is ready to ship and arrives gift-wrapped.
