Le Chien Noir Jewelry
Leland Blue Ring Size 7.75
Regular price
$155.00
Here is a pretty teardrop Leland Blue cabochon that I feature in a sterling silver ring. Leland Blue is actually slag – a waste product from the smelting process used in the late 1800s by the Leland Lake Superior Iron Company. It can be found on the beaches of Lake Michigan. This cabochon was beautifully cut from a piece of that slag - found treasure!
The ring is a nice size for everyday wear and adds a touch of really pretty pale blue to your style. It would also be a perfect gift for anyone with an interest in history and unusual artifacts - or who loves blue!
SETTING: I gave it a fine silver and sterling bezel setting with a half-round sterling band with a hammered texture.
SIZE: The stone is about 23mm x 10mm (1" x 3/8") and the ring is size 7.75.
FINISH: I gave the silver a dark patina.
