This chrysoprase is such a beautiful luminous green, which the darkened sterling I've set it in accentuates perfectly. I set it in fine silver and sterling on a double half-round sterling shank. The setting has a border that adds a few millimetres all around. This is a bold, minimalist statement ring perfect for everyday wear.
Chrysoprase is a type of translucent chalcedony made green by traces of nickel, and this one is a beauty! It's also a May birthstone that has traditionally symbolized happiness, enterprise and prudence.
• stone is about 25mm x 15mm (1" x 5/8")
• the band is about 5mm (3/16") wide
• the ring is a size 9
• I gave the silver a light patina.
